What Every College Freshman Needs to Know

http://www.society19.com/every-college-freshman-really-needs-know/

This article is about what I should know before I go to college. I find myself reading multiple of these types of blogs because I honestly don't get enough of a heads up from family members. They all tell me how proud and excited they are for me but a list of things I need to know is the best. Here are the 7 things that the author tells me that I need to know and my opinion on them.

•Get involved on campus: I will definitely know I will be involved on Campus because of how involved I am in High School. I will not be the girl who just sits and does nothing. I will want to be involved because I am a very active girl who doesn't want to be bored. This is one thing I will not have a problem doing.

•Connect with your professors: I have a thing for making friends with teachers in High School so I am thinking that this will not be any different. I am going to a small school so it's not like I will be lost in a lecture hall and get to skip class. I will have a relationship with my professors regardless but I will try my hardest to go above and beyond with connecting with these people so that I stand out for recommendations.

•Be smart with your money: This will be kind of hard for me considering I want to get a job at the hospital as a CNA. Yes, I will be getting more money but I won't be able to do my homework like a "warm body" job would. I also am really bad at saving money. I will have to discipline myself on money when I get to college.

•Get an internship: I feel like it will be easy for me to find intern opportunities because I hopefully will be working at the Maryville hospital. If there is some type of Occupational Therapy internship that I could be a part of, I hope I would be there first pick since I will live nearby the hospital.

•Keep healthy: I don't plan to drink in college so I think that will help when it comes to not gaining the freshman 15. They also have a free gym membership with your tuition that I will take advantage of. Hopefully, my roommate will like to workout and take zumba, yoga, etc. classes.

•Avoid drama: I hope that drama doesn't follow me like in high school. I also hope that my roommate is good. I don't know anyone that is going to the same school as me so I had to do pot luck. Hopefully, I get someone that I can at least deal with.

•Get the cheapest textbooks: I didn't even bother to read this section because Northwest Missouri State gives free textbooks with tuition. They also give us laptops that we can download class books onto.
